Snow in April

Here we are on April 4th. Two inches of snow covered the ground as the sun tried vainly to shine. Outside is not a place to play for us. It is too cold and wet. At least my basement is finished (with the exception of some painting of trim). My house is now twice the size that it was only 2 months ago. My children can run around and get out wiggles. I can go somewhere and find a little peace in a chaotic day. I am very grateful for this miracle in my life. After 5 1/2 years in this house that I call home, I see what this house was meant to be. A Sanctuary from the world for my family. There is enough space for all of us now. It may seem silly for me to call it a miracle, but that is truly what it feels like to me.
